Golden Hits begins broadcasting on 100.8 in Södertälje
Golden Hits was an unmanned, automated so-called “closet radio” station. It played golden oldies from the 1950s to the 1970s with the slogan “The station that speaks its own language.” Golden Hits described itself as follows: “When you’re tired of Hip-Hop, Techno and the like, come to us and enjoy the golden classics! We play non-stop music with interruptions only for commercials.” The station was founded by Jan Friedman and eight other local investors. In the summer of 1998, it was acquired by NRJ.
Between 05:00–08:00 and 18:00–20:00 on weekdays, Södertälje 100.8 broadcast local radio.
