FM.guide launches interactive frequency bandscan

FM.guide has just launched a new interactive tool: Bandscan. With this feature, you can click anywhere on the map and instantly see which FM frequencies can be heard at that exact location — complete with station name, transmitter site, signal strength, and distance to the transmitter.

How it works

Simply click any point on the map, and a table appears showing every station whose coverage area reaches that spot, sorted by frequency across the full FM band (87.5–108.0 MHz). Each result is color-coded by estimated signal strength, so you can quickly see not just what you might hear, but how well.

Best coverage in the Nordics

The tool currently works best in Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, where our transmitter database is most complete and accurate. We’re actively working to expand coverage to more countries and regions in the months ahead, so expect the map to keep growing.

A brand-new feature

As this is a newly launched tool, please bear with us if you run into the occasional rough edge or inaccuracy while we iron out the early teething issues. We’re continuously refining the underlying data and the tool itself, and feedback from users like you is what helps us improve it fastest.
